In accordance with Section 28.2-209 of the Code of Virginia, a public hearing on the proposed regulations will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the Virginia Marine Resources Commission, 2600 Washington Avenue, Newport News, Virginia. I. Chapter 4 VAC 20-290-10 et seq., “Pertaining to Marking of Leased Oyster Planting Ground”
The Commission proposes to amend 4 VAC 20-290-10 et seq., to better define marking requirements for oyster ground leases and to define active work areas within oyster planting ground leases and the marking requirements in such areas. [ draft regulation ]
II. Chapter 4 VAC 20-335-10 et seq., “Authorizes Shellfish Aquaculture Structures”
The Commission proposes to amend 4 VAC 20-335-10 et seq., to define aquaculture structures and the proper marking requirements for areas where such structures are deployed upon oyster planting ground leases. [ draft regulation ]
