I. Chapter 4VAC20-280-10 et seq. "Pertaining to Speckled Trout and Red Drum".

The Commission will consider Recreational Angling Club-proposed hand line, hook-and-line or rod-and-reel modifications to possession and size limit for speckled trout, from December 1 through March 31, as described in Chapter 4VAC20-280-10 et seq., "Pertaining to Speckled Trout and Red Drum".  The recreational fishery is currently managed by a year-round possession limit of 10 speckled trout and a 14-inch minimum size limit, with no maximum size limit.  The proposed modification would decrease the possession limit to 5 speckled trout and allow harvest and possession of only one speckled trout 24 inches or greater, from December 1 through March 31, for hand line, hook-and-line or rod-and-reel fishermen.
