Background:

The Quinby Harbor enhancements were completed in March of 2010.  The County of Accomack received $294,375 from the VSRFDF. The County contributed $98,125 to the project.  The project included the replacement of the double-wide concrete boat ramp, the replacement of the bulkhead around the ramp, launch and recovery floating docks and a finger pier, a handicapped accessible aluminum access ramp, select dredging, and improved trailer parking areas.

The Town of Quinby does charge a fee to use the ramp.  However, if you have your own valid Virginia saltwater fishing license, you are eligible for a discount.  You must show your license, when you enter to receive the discount.  Please remember that family and friends, who intent to fish from a saltwater licensed vessel and do not have their own Virginia saltwater fishing license, must register with the free Virginia Fisherman Identification Program (FIP).  If you do not have a valid Virginia saltwater fishing license click here to register now.  To purchase your Virginia Saltwater License online, click the icon on the left of the screen.

Quinby Harbor provides quick access to the middle of the Eastern Shore seaside bays and the Atlantic Ocean. Wachapreague and Parramore Reefs are the closest artificial reefs to this landing site.
